Google does access your browser's history and search history to influence search results. So Google SERPs or Search Engine Results Pages may differ from person to person depending on what they've searched or browsed.

See Brian Dean's article on Google's 200 ranking factors. The #147 and #148 reveals that Google uses your Browser history.

I agree with the cache thing though. And I agree that it makes a bigger difference than history.
